  1. This is a fairly recent thread about DTAC and True SIM cards for mobile internet: https://aseannow.com/topic/1273316-1-year-unlimited-dtac-30mbps-vs-true-15mbps/ Another thread is endless long since 2020. A bit confusing.
  2. Five hours and no response. Am I not the only one who does not understand what this is about? "snip": some image/screenshot saved in a file? "title/date info": where does this title and date come from? Contained in the "snip" or ? (file name? saving date?) "Target text" in an editor (word or the like)? Confused
  3. Your post is a bit confusing. WiFi is wireless internet and not directly related to a SIM card. SIM sounds like you look for mobile data/internet (not having a wired internet at your place)? Mbps? 30 Mbps should suffice for all streaming that is not top end (4k). There have been a number of threads recently about SIM cards for mobile internet. Guess the thread will win same attention here.
  4. Have you already done the "easy fixes" like power cycling router and devices? If that doesn't help it's likely for 3BB. You don't have any VPN or stuff (security SW etc.)?
  5. Twitter feels normal. I am very certain that they use distributed networks. A ping to twitter.com is 35 ms. Trace shows it is Singapore. Speedtest to Singapore: 861/451 ! 500 being my limit for upload. Excellent.
  6. Some random tests to arbitrary servers (down/up, Mbit/s, 3BB): Los Angeles: 173/88 Tokyo: 403/152 London: 187/98 Frankfurt: 202/95 Not too bad. Much better than most private internet in Germany e.g. With such speeds I would hardly notice a difference in handling. I can only speculate that flooding/landslides have done damage in certain regions? Fiber cables cut? Some years ago there was this bridge collapsed in the south and only ToT had it's cable under the bridge.
  7. The most you can do on Lazada is sticking to LazMall and not any "1 rating" suppliers etc. My try would be one of these: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/gillette-mach3-blades-12-cartridges-refills-gillette-mach3-12-i2860580917-s10435591814.html https://www.lazada.co.th/products/6-gillette-mach-3-plus-blades-pivoting-head-wlubricant-6s-i2861114446-s10436805218.html I have stopped using pricey blades since long. I use some three blade "Bic easy click" shaver (reusable grip). They might not last as long but still cheaper over all. And newly they are as good as expensive ones. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/x-2-bic-2-bic-easy-clic-razor-2-refill-blades-free-shipping-i4133579042-s16207035113.html (I buy at shops not online)
  8. They are warming up. Relevant opposition follows later. Being watched giving away pencils for free or the like
  9. And the fire station is a 2 min drive around the corner next to Pattaya City hospital
  10. Today were all smart guys who thought don't go on Monday after the long weekend, let's wait until Wednesday. Could have been me
  11. 1) black Toyota Yaris 2) white Honda HRV 3) bronze Toyota Yaris 4) black Toyota Altis 5) white Honda Civic. Is "including" wrong English (not my first language).
  12. A guy with a little handheld extinguisher walking to that wall of flames ???? The will was there.
  13. Before reading here I saw a video about it and thought whether this is from today. And it is. Amidst the endless construction nightmare on Soi 15. People running probably to get their vehicles away.
  14. https://aseannow.com/topic/1275158-thai-central-bank-defends-new-controls-on-cash-deposits-via-cdms/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1275061-new-rule-for-cash-deposit-machines-from-november-15th/
  15. The last weather warning for Thailand said until Friday, Oct 21st. European weather center shows at least a decrease from then on. I don't give too much in forecast over more than 5 days, crystal ball.
  16. I don't call this "average Thai person" and not even upper class.
  17. if it doesn't make too much of an effort. Otherwise I can not remember reports that 90 day report has been checked anywhere else than at immigration office. Irrelevant for travel etc.
  18. Also known as giant vinegaroon ???? Mastigoproctus giganteus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastigoproctus_giganteus
  19. A stern warning: https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/weather/flood-warning-issued-for-southern-thailand
  20. Now the Saudis can save even more of their precious oil and continue buying cheap Russian oil for their domestic use or even resell it with extra profit.
  21. I hate that extra loop A view over the gulf. Nice but not worth the extra 10 minutes.
  22. I am a bit tired to repeat the discussion in the initial thread about this topic. And again all kind of things mixed in like the out of province fee for withdrawals (can be avoided with cardless withdrawal). Not new in any way. A nuisance as long as I can remember. The topic is about >deposit< of cash at the machines. For me nothing changes. Always "identified" with my bank card. I bet only few foreigners are affected by the change.
  23. Sounds like squaring the circle. Higher math ???? Waiting for my friend in Jomtien to complain. Told him a thousand times to do it online.
  24. Thanks for first hand report Bad news for all in Phuket.
  25. 60k to 70k is top ranks in government/police. Freshman at police are ridiculously low paid under 20k. The average immigration officer that serves you is in the 30k+ range. These numbers are publicly available. In Thai only and not a quick find. It's of course not the first such thread more like the 100th. When on the desktop I might find them. This 350k number for a company employee per month!!!? Even in management. What a joke.
