  1. Another trap that you can fall in with the bankbook: if you have many transactions and do not update/print regularly you get a CMB (combined) entry which can raise eyebrows at immigration. What has happened during the combined period? Probably best to request a one year statement routinely?
  2. A poster recently stated that immigration was ok with two 6 months statements which would save you waiting. Just another visit to the branch. The whole system and form of the statements is antiquated compared to what I was used to western banks.
  3. Same question. I recently got a one year statement from Bangkok Bank and expected(!) to see some details. But no, not much more than the bank book entries.
  4. As mentioned: the application at the RD is based on my Thai ID nr. which I already had at the time. So I assume the 10 digit number of 2016 is now replaced by that ID. What supports the idea is, that the website signaled that I already have an online account when using this citizen ID. What remains unclear for the moment is that I can't remember having given e-mail and password.
  5. My current entry is based on Thai ID number for foreigners (yellow book/pink card). So I hope I won't need an address certificate. Or is it simply my 13 digit Thai ID number for foreigners? (6-...).
  6. Never did any COD payment with Lazada or Shopee. Mostly trough Bangkok Bank debit card. Always entering data from scratch (no "save card"). Last Shopee payment from 18 Jan 2024. ("Payment Method Mobile Banking") Last Lazada payment from 6 Feb 2024 paid by debit card. Guess about 20 payments through the year.
  7. I also tried to use some online services from the RD. When entering my foreigner ID it says I am already registered. Just that I can't remember any details
  8. Years ago I was at the revenue department and applied for return of witholding tax. It was approved and I obviously was registered and should have a TIN? The only document I can find is a "K.21" (ค.21) from 2016. Can someone confirm that the (pixelated) number (10 digits) appearing twice is the TIN? (not sure from translation results). I am interested as there is a chance that my German bank would ask for (happens from Swiss banks regularly).
  9. Guess they won't have much time for party. Likely participating in that salvage operation for the sunken Thai Navy ship. (that's the only current news about US navy and Thailand) https://aseannow.com/topic/1320541-thai-us-mission-launched-to-find-remains-of-missing-htms-sukhothai-crew/
  10. I blew up two of these sensor switches Smells bad.
  11. Yes. Can be delayed by the federal council but not be impeded. And the warnings are loud and many fold. 25 grams of cannabis allowed to carry in public. Street dealers dream.
  12. Exactly that and I have it from talking to some agent in Pattaya (some 2 or 3 years ago). Bangkok Bank otherwise "complicated". So this for those who use an agent with "shady" methods. A sentence from the agent to a customer that I remember: all I need is your passport and the money. "The money" being the 25k Baht for his special service.
  13. Oh those test engineers. Tests are a significant cause of disaster (see Chernobyl). My last job: <deleted> Soo inconvenient.
  14. And showing the many alternatives around Pattaya. Home Pro at BigC Extra is convenient and probably serves similar interests. And if that is not enough, just follow the road passing BigC Extra parking entrance and get to the back entrance of the really big HomePro on Sukhumvit (without ever driving on Sukhumvit).
  15. Checked their website and found nothing in the Pattaya area. One location halfway to Bangkok.
  16. Impossible to think that such details of a deceased's apartment are shown to public in western countries (medication [tranquilizer], many notes in English(!), a brochure in Russian [maybe multi language], walking stick, false teeth...).
  17. Many empty bottles that you can call opened to cause some confusion.
  18. Until you get an official answer, let me guess: it's the email address. Generally unwanted. Hiding it (not clickable) like callcenter(at)ais.co.th might work.
  19. Are police that "nice" because she is Chinese? Handcuff and off to the padded cell. Just think what would have happened elsewhere. Some nice loads from the taser.
  20. Khon Kaen immigration told me that I should show some proof of income source (pension statement) in addition to one year of bank statements with the monthly transfers. I will probably prepare a big staple of paper incl bank statements from home country and WISE transfer receipts.
  21. At Kasikorn a full detailed messaging about every transaction cost 20 Baht/month extra. Bangkok Bank sends a message if the debit card is used online (don't know whether there is a minimum amount). Yearly fee is 300 Baht for the account and card. To me the headline is simply misleading/wrong conclusion. Not the app does anything but debit cardholders data was leaked. Can be a fraudulent online shop or simply a (foto)copy of the card incl. the three digit verification number, First things when I get a new card: store all data from the card locally on my PC incl. a photo of both sides. Then scratch off the three digit number. Rarely use the physical card at all. Cash withdrawal cardless. Never let stores save the debit card details (untick the option in case). Always enter data from scratch.
  22. There is quite a mix of side effects and overdose in the thread. Blurred vision, headache, heartburn are quite frequent side effects even on normal dosage of Viagra. And that is described in the leaflet ("after four hours...").
  23. Likely the reason. Some wind map says 9 to 10 kts from the south (gulf). Just a proof that the bad air is "homemade" and not blown in. Millions of jammed/clogged cars, Diesel preference via tax/fuel substitute. Diesel exhaust levels forbidden in the west since decades. What do you expect?
