  1. I think the Thai soapy mafia is still rough and strong enough to beat them to pieces. So far...
  2. This soapy is the only one of this type in Soi Honey. Not a shady shack like many others there. Can't tell whether you pay upfront. But the prices are usually made very clear in soapies before the deal (1600 to 3000 and more).
  3. And a "tourist" has a dispute with Russians about massage prices? And the Russian threatened to come back on him? Not everything in such articles is to the point. Maybe the victim has no work permit? Another reason not to call the police.
  4. I was too optimistic. Same day return looks bad. Overnight in Udon or Bangkok.
  5. Next nonstop Phuket to Udon Thani is tomorrow 31st at 14:20 with Air Asia . Flights are not daily Guess you won't be able to make it back same day with the return flight. So many connecting options through DMK or BKK. Cost time and money of course. Nonstop up, connecting down?
  6. Koreans and other Asians are carted to soapies in bus loads. Part of the package. So it's good to have a doorman/receptionist who speaks Korean.
  7. No. from the article and the pictures it is clear that it happened in "Soi Honey" (less known as Soi 11) in front of the soapy massage. Maybe the stupid Vladimir's had read that a massage cost 300 Baht allover and being excited to be asked for a tenfold price? I assume the victim is working for the parlor (Thai and Korean language makes sense).
  8. And now look back to the disgusting babble and nonsense in the initial thread about the case. ... wife fleeing with (HER!) money to Cambo casino and other BS posted. It's a shame.
  9. +666... and some others. Multiple warnings and one or more threads here. Scam of course. Checked on my PEA app. Just in case 😊 All normal.
  10. Who is the mastermind behind this braindead cult?
  11. Became prominent for a day. Made it to international tabloids at least UK and Germany. German article didn't mention it was in Pattaya, just Thailand. I hope he leaves no dependents behind.
  12. In Thailand you don't need an EV to have a car on fire 😁Irregular/botched service/repair is enough. And yes, it happens in other countries too.
  13. The new husband IS the prime suspect according to the police. Has a mia noi/gik. Wife still not found. (news from the breakfast table). Wait for more.
  14. Yes. But no one (if not overlooked) cares to say that it happened on Sukhumvit road northbound and to me it looks like the crash was on the inner lane?! Kids changed lane? Maybe to the right as you are forced to do to reach a U-turn or turn right. Driving on this race track with a small bike is a problem from the start. When in Pattaya I avoid it whenever possible. Did Igor go fast on the inner lane?
  15. The health certificate is valid for a month. So a good idea to do it in advance. They officially promise on their site that walk-in is possible for DL extension at all offices. "officially" In all cases do the e-learning beforehand and have the QR code. I think walk-in without might be denied. Our office does not even participate in the SmartQueue procedure. I have registered just to find out.
  16. "banks" ?? Again confusing. SCB has closed website banking (from PC). Other banks still offer. If that is what you mean?
  17. Yes screenshots are blocked. But completely unrelated to payment done or not. You have internet banking and can not find out whether a payment was made??
  18. Not necessarily. "Yellow book". Registered having non Thai ID. Frequently discussed. Some get it easy. Varies from amphoe to amphoe (district office). Others are harrased with required documents.
  19. Beware of lions, hogs and bar dragons 🤣
  20. Cost some 1xx Baht.
  21. It needs to be changed. I learned it. Recently I drove to district town with the 11 year old Click to have yearly inspection done. After a few kms I see a red warning light. Never seen before on any scooter. Overheated. Slowly back to village mechanic and having exchanged coolant. Probably not been done ever since.
  22. Same easy process like here.
  23. Indeed. The DLT offices seem to have a wide variation of what is accepted as proof of address. Also immigration offices may or may not be willing to supply a res.cert. free or for a "fee". Instant or waiting for weeks(!?). I read here that someone needed a letter from the DLT that a res.cert. is needed and show at immigration If you live in a "foreigner experienced" location the dealer might be able to tell what's needed. Buying a car in my name some 11 years ago as a newbie/fresh arrived was quite a hassle with help of blue book from wife and copy of marriage certificate!! But for buying a small motorbike some 6 years ago the yellow book/pink card was sufficient (which I than had). Our DLT is OK with that also for license extension etc. Pattaya/Chonburi: no way.
