The banking app of Kasikorn checks whether the SIM for the registered number is active in the phone.
I have two SIMs in the phone.
Once and for unknown reason SIM 1 went off.
I noticed that when the Kasikorn app gave a warning that I can not continue and have to register my "new" number which was shown and coming from SIM 2.
Data protection is not a prime concern in Thailand.
You can bet that there is a well established network.
Of course they can supply data of (foreign) customers and the providers will give them a match/no match result.
The banks will also go through their own data and find same number for accounts on different names and the phone(!) provider will threaten you locking the number within 24h if not appearing for identification. First hand experience. And that makes it clear that there is an exchange of data.
What a tank is for.
Store enough water (24/7 filled up) to supply enough water to numerous condos or the like during peak times.
That task can usually not be done directly with communal water supply. Not enough flow and pressure.
Even the tank being on top you still need pumps if you want to have a proper shower on the upper floors.
Drinking or cooking with tap water: never!!
Always been the case for me since years.
I always selected for long term stay.
In about one weeks time I will do next transfer and see what happens.
Occasionally I did transfers to Kasikorn selecting personal expense and arrived in seconds.
I have changed to income method since last year.
Frees the 800k+ to be used on my discretion.
Could even still get an income letter with proof of pensions.
But will also waive.
Makes me independent from the mood swings of consular services and potential trips to Bangkok or Pattaya.
I have a feeling that there is more to come...
After reviewing I have an idea what was wrong.
The "5 meter rule".
You must not park closer than 5 m from an intersection / incoming street regardless of colored curbs or not.
Guess he was too close to the corner of Soi 7.
Nice "tourist trap" 😊
Leaving valuables under the seat is worth another discussion. Stupido.
Do you know what it takes to grab stuff under the seat of a Honda Click?
A strong grip bending the cover and you can move your arm in.
Never leave valuables in a motorbike unattended.
All this excitement about an impounded motorbike and a long taxi ride to Khopai Soi 9/3??? 500 Baht at Soi 9, 500 Baht at the impound lot?
Get over it!
This is a unique story.
Never read anything similar.
And as I understand it's gone from your cc.
And the cc issuing bank can't tell where it went and get it back?
Your device (phone, tablet...) is not compromised by chance?
