  1. Their price is 750 for PSA. Sounds ok. In Pattaya I pay 700.
  2. Found some numbers for Deutsche Bank SWIFT. 0.15% min. 10 EUR 1.55 EUR for SWIFT 25 EUR external costs flat rate For 27000 EUR: 40.50 1.55 25.00 --------- 67.05 EUR So ~26933 would come in at SCB. Makes 976590 Baht. SCB fee is 500 Baht > 976090 about 6600 Baht less than WISE transfer.
  3. Ages ago I fell into the trap. Deutsche Postbank had a 1.50 EUR fee for the transfer. Sounds nice until I learned that 1.50 is just for handing it over to Deutsche Bank for the real deal🤣 (that was before both banks merged)
  4. EUR example TT rate at SCB 36.26 (8:30 AM) WISE rate 36.63 27000 EUR Theoretical 0 fee transaction would result in: 979020 SCB 989010 WISE WISE transaction incl fee: -> 982716 You see the point? Now who tells me what the overall fees and resulting amount for a SWIFT transfer will be? The "lower/zero fee at my bank" arguments are worthless without knowing what the end result is. https://www.scb.co.th/en/personal-banking/foreign-exchange-rates (rate slightly higher, update every two minutes, fee discountid for larger amount )
  5. Always worked fine for me: https://www.tomtaxiservice.com/
  6. What a nonsense. There is a conspiracy forum please. 1) only after more than 4 withdrawals per month a fee would occur. 2) you think that SCB does big profit from using other banks ATM? Don't you think the other bank will cash in for using THEIR equipment. I had no particular problems with SCB ATMs. Had often used Bangkok B. ATM at SCB. At the big malls SCB has the most up-to-date fancy machines. But I mostly use cardless withdrawal nowadays.
  7. Based on the figures presented I can only confirm that there is a huge gap. Your math is correct and the overall rate is less than 30! Check with SCB whether they can give you the exact details of the transfers. Has it initiated in GBP or already converted to THB in the UK which might be bad.
  8. My Gboard is configured for English, Thai, German (the three languages I have configured for the phone user interface). No problem. The phones have a whole lot of languages for the user interface (~80 languages on my Samsung). What a change to my early years of mobile phones.
  9. Yes sure. A reserved job for Thais only
  10. By Indian tradition women might not survive such attack.
  11. Screenshot of the "MINI" view. Must be 20 or more BBC channels.
  12. Excuse my ignorance. Just technical interest. Just listening to Radio 5 stream on the mobile. 1,2,3,4,5... https://fmstream.org/index.php?s=Bbc (no VPN used)
  13. A girl from a nail salon (one of the hundreds in Pattaya) that I know and talked with at her shop, goes for 32 yr currently, last year she was 36 yr. Her real age is 42 (should be 43 this year).
  14. What you show in the picture is an explanation from Bangkok Bank (stamped and signed) that the code for the transfer has changed. Even though I would expect that immigration understands that, you might better take this and the updated bank book and ask beforehand. Might save you extra effort for additional documents. I assume you have a (yearly) confirmation of your payment in English language? Would always take this with me to immigration.
  15. Interesting. Gone unnoticed for me. He was the only passenger on the bus. Wait until the vloggers reports in Chinese 🤣
  16. I don't see them mentioned here ("Allowrie" blend as an example). Anchor is butter. Emborg is butter. Both easily available at every Makro and others.
  17. 80 Baht? That's exceptionally cheap. Villa has it in 500 gr blocks for 269 ฿
  18. Look at the picture with the big truck. See how low these sidewalls are. It wouldn't cost a fortune to add at least a fence/net/rail construction to avoid such tragic loss. And another day it could be a vehicle smashed down on the motorway.
  19. So many cyclist killed over the years. I drive slowly in the village with the dogs but on a highway. No thanks!
  20. U Turn bridge OVER motorway 7. Roads running parallel to motorway 7.
  21. Legit question. "to deposit at another branch"? There is feature named (electronic) transfer. Maybe he is one of the "show me the money, is it still there" types 🤣
  22. Kind of. Do you know "groundhopping"?
  23. Multiple "wifes" and luxury shopping 😁 Guess he found a better hiding place than the "businessman".
  24. This or simply seeing some packet visible. Lucky catch. The nativity of that businessman is hard to believe. If in the car (which I would never do) then in the trunk or well hidden elsewhere.
  25. The unavoidable "insurance job". What kind of insurance is that?
