BMA seeks street vendors' feedback on Lumphini Park market

BANGKOK, 22 September 2017 (NNT) - Bangkok Deputy Governor Pol Lt Gen Chinnatat Meesuk has visited a new outdoor food center set up near Lumphini Park. He heard feedback from street vendors recently moved there as a result of city's street cleanup initiative.

Pol Lt Gen Chinnatat met with food hawkers affected by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's (BMA) efforts to reorganize pedestrian walkways. He offered moral support and heard their opinions on the new location.

The BMA arranged for street vendors to sell ready-made meals at three locations: near Lumphini Park, Pathumwan Institute of Technology and Kung Luang Restaurant in Bangkok Noi district. Sellers are also required to clear the areas after market hours.

Registration for stall spaces is underway. Priority will be given to food retailers affected by the BMA campaign.
