On one hand we have "justified" and on the other hand we have "militarily inadvisable".

So who runs the military complex?  A name would be great. LOL.  We'll match it up with a name you provide for the person running the media. LOL  Nice conspiracy theory.

Sad commentary when you criticize your own country for trying to do the right thing.  Deal with country that's violated UN resolutions for years.

Nobody wants war.  The world wants a denuclearized Korean peninsula.

No! The world wants a denuclearised US and Israel!! They are the biggest threats to world peace!

Agreed but learn the lessons of history e.g. Hitler, Hirohito and the warlords of Japan ad infinitum ad nauseam. Don't be naive to think that Kim Jong-Un will not slaughter South Koreans, Japanese and others in his quest for power. This is not a time for being a bleeding heart wearing rose coloured spectacles!

The Surgeon would choose to just take out the leader, not the whole Nation.  If they had done that in Iraq, taken out Sadam, then the world would not be in the bloody mess it's in today.
Very few people decide on War and injustice, the many who follow without question, until there is no leader to follow, will soon find a place to hide.

But that's not the subject of this topic.  Don't deflect.

Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were expansionist powers. The DPRK is not.

Kinda hard to expand into China or Russia.  But they're sure trying to take over South Korea.  Luckily, not making any progress thanks to SK's allies.

Nor was the Khmer Rouge but action was entirely justified (but not taken). It fell to Communist Vietnam to end that one.

Koreans trying to take over Korea is not remotely similar to the actions of colonialst powers.

Kinda hard to expand into China or Russia? Perhaps so, but Imperial Japan had a bloody good crack at it...

It doesn't have to be "colonialist" in order for it to be expansionism.

Japan was facing a very different "China and Russia".

Your deflecting.  This is about NK.  You said they weren't expansionist.  Their first war kinda blew a hold in that theory. :cheesy:

It did not. A war to unify your own country is not expansionism.

It is if the other side is not interested. LOL

But that was not the case.

Please show a credible link showing SK wanted expansion with NK by allowing their people to be killed and massacred.  Can't wait for this one.

Why? What would it have to do with what I said?

You said they wanted expansion.  NK did, SK didn't.  If SK wanted to merge, there wouldn't have been a war.  Right?

No I did not.

Are you going to answer the questions I asked two posts ago?

Do you honestly think that SK, that has become a thriving economy with happy folk, wants their country to have concentration camps and daily executions for not having a dodgy haircut..... 59c9de6c2bc1f_laughalot.gif.407f90e2066a23144b27f7352a7223ad.gif

Do you in turn honestly believe that rhetorical questions prove any kind of point?

Here are your posts.  You say they are not expansionist.  But they are as they invaded SK....for purposes of expansion.

A war to take over territory that is not your, no matter what they think, is expansionism.  Especially since the other side didn't want to unify!

Incredible.

He's just trolling....again.....

Plain and simple,  the military industrial complex salivates at prospect of war with North Korea, just take a look at their stocks and how they got very high during this crisis,  trump siphoned 1 trillion from the Saudis by raising thier fears from Iran, and it s time for Japan and South Korea to foot the arms bill

Fighting to reunifiy your own country is not expansionism.
