You reference my quote of the 'bully' and then go on about aid! Its nonsensical!

Have I mentioned lack of aid?

My point was that the "bully" has done as much or more in the way of financial support and development for the Palestinian people that their own <deleted>' government, which is typical of many governments in the regions (e.g., corrupt leadership lining their own pockets to the detriment of the people they claim to represent).

My reference to the bully, was aimed at U.S tacit support for unsupportable actions, that its non-condemnation of the said apartheid actions of the gov't,

Israel put up their wall as a defensive measure to keep terrorists out of certain areas. In that context, the fact is that it has been extremely effective. As far as being apartheid as a long term goal, I'm sorry but the facts just don't support it. Israel has a history of trying to make peace with the Palestinians. The Palestinian leaders have a history of taking those offers and shoving them up Israel's backside, again to the detriment of the people they claim to represent.

And while we're on the subject of apartheid, there is a shoe on the other foot here too. It is a documented fact the Palestinian children are taught racial hatred and violence toward others in school. So how can one action be called apartheid and the other not?

The only reason Israel decided to go into Gaza this last offensive, was because they were instructed to by the U.S, to teach Iran a lesson and bring them into line, by destroying the Hezbollah and Hamas militias.

Unlike Israel which is free to act unilaterally on its own behalf (i.e., w/o US consult or recommendation), Hezbollah and Hamas fanatics don't take a crap without getting sanctioned approval from Damascus and Tehran. It is Syria and Iran which have corrupted the Palestinian people and leadership to serve their long term goal, which is the extermination of israel. UNfortunately, they do not realize the futility of their ways.

But as Dr Frankenstein realized, once you create a monster it is difficult to control it, and once that monster had gone too far with condemnation ringing from every corner of the world,

Again you mix facts with opinions. Israel fought for and gained their own independence, and that was recognized by the world almost 60 years ago. The fact that Israel now ardently defends that independence when attacked by Syrian and Iran backed rebels, just doesn't set well with some people.

Well you know what? That's too <deleted>' bad that these peopple choose to not accept the facts of the region. If Syria and Iran had any balls, then they would just invade Israel and let the chips fall where they may. But no one wants any part of Israel because they will get their asses kicked, as history has proven time and time again.

Again the facts remain that time after time, Israel has attempted to create long term peaceful solutions in the region. And time after time, the PLO, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Palestinian leadership (with tacit approval from Syria and Iran) have shoved it up Israel's gazoo.

Honestly, I believe the Palestinians have a real chance with Abbas at the helm. I think Abbas has the potential to do really well for the people he leads, and I honestly hope that he does. It would be good for everyone. Althought quite frankly, I think it's a bit of a miracle that the radical factions have not whacked him already.

Israel developing 4 ton killer robot plan to defend against missile threats.

Israel is developing the world's largest unmanned aircraft, which will be used for long-range operations and destroying ballistic missiles as they are launched.

The Eitan has been developed by the Israel Aircraft Industries and has a wing span of 35m — similar to that of a Boeing 737 passenger plane — the official told AFP.

According to the Yediot Aharonot daily, the drone is designed for long endurance and high-altitude flights and is equipped with an array of advanced cameras and missiles which allow it to identify and intercept long-range missiles as they are being fired on the ground.

Spee,

That was a good post, and I found myself agreeing with some of it.

Good use of the multi-quote function too, can you show me how to do it, cheers.

Unfortunatly, there are also discrepancies in your view, Israel got independence by terrorist means, they blew the Brits out on the boot of the bomb and the bullet, aka the Stern Gang and their leader and future international statesman Menachem Begin.

I liked your post though, even if I didn't agree with all of it.

good Luck

I don't know how many times you mentioned fact in that post, but the fact is your opinion is bias and irrational.

You can't deny that Israel is heavily dependant on the U.S. and the U.S. backs Israeli policies, with money, vetos' and political pressure.

You seem to think that you can leave that out of the equation and still have a credible opinion.

You are in denial of objective reallity.

I have a historical novel 'The Haj', by Leon Uris, published in 1984. (I don't know if it is still in print, or not.)

It is all about Israel's relationships with its neighbours. Although it only deals with 1922 to 1954, its insights into the ways of thinking (what sociologists call the 'world view') of the various protagonists, and groups within them, is very enlightening. And that won't have changed over just a couple of generations.

If there is a "Grandchild of Leon Uris" out there to write a similar historical around the events of 1954 to 2007, s/he might find it, too, to be a best-seller.

is there a conection between the fact that both teams of spankers have a belief in a g0d - I don't think they would be so keen to <deleted> things up if they didn't have this irrational belief in a whimsical etopian afterlife.

the real news is there is a country that does not have these g0d beliefs which will be playing the end game.

I believe there may be more than one....... and they will just find something else to 'argue' about .... such is life. (is there a  smilie?)
