I am just commenting on the report wording.

If so then we will never be able to discuss the actual case...;)

They may benefit from the 13% conviction rate for rape charges in this country.

That figure is actually an attrition rate, not a conviction rate.

He looks like, he can only teach violent body language, nothing more than that. :shock1:

What do you look like when you can teach?

Surely the bigger question is, did he have a Work Permit to teach at the school? If not then another charge against him and the school for that matter.

It's actually non-imm (b)  and Teaching license waiver that is required, and these are dependent on a BA or above from an accredited university.  That would not include Cameroon but who knows where he was educated.

Just wondering what she thought was gonna happen in his hotel room at 4am in the morning?

When I take a woman back to my hotel room, I know exactly what's gonna happen.

She probably thought the friend would leave and she would have a bonk with her boyfriend of 4 months. She probably thought since they were dating for a while, that she would be safe with him and he would protect her.

What normal person would make the leap from I'm going to see my boyfriend of 4 months to my boyfriend and his mate will probably gang rape me so I won't go.

Stop blaming the victim.

She complains because it was too big, or water boarding was better? or was two people? or it really was rape?, or they didn't want to pay for two? or they didn't give her drugs? or? they were trying to turn her out? or? This is an odd story.

Her story has changed.

Quite markedly too.  Either that or the reporter is embellishing his version.  Who would know given some of the headline ones sees, many leave a lot to be desired.:wai:

Sounds like a lovemaking session between a consenting couple turned into an unwanted manage a trois.  It's still rape, of course. Sick.

I can"t figure out if there's any connection between these stories, but it seems these Macaroons can"t keep their equipment under control.

Cameroon must have some damned good education facilities, my nephew's female English language teacher is Cameroonian.

The education sector in Cameroon is a mess.  It's a Francophone country and English isn't that widely used outside of the technology and government sectors.

The fact that the report states that one of them is an English language teacher reflects more on the Thai employer's ability to understand English and the teaching ability thereof, than these rapists' command of the language.

I would also check the validity of their academic records. Probably Fake!

Take that back!  They are genuine certificates bought legally in Khao San Road!

Why has her story changed so dramatically. I am not defending the perpetrators, nor questioning something took place, but originally she said her boyfriend went out, she fell asleep, then later found the other man in the bed......allegedly......

So, what are you saying then?

what a story /

Teenager who looks like a 200 pound cage fighter,

goes clubbing with two lying Cameroons until 04:00 and

then going to a hotel room with them .....

and 1 goes out to by condoms????

And a freshly made up bed is the proof of raping?????

Ah, it was her fault then...

Victim blaming and not relating the reported events accurately, classy.

In fact William Inkokumokoko didn't pay the fee, so the lady went to the police.

Wow, that's a quote from the "rapist scum defence manual" I didn't expect to hear.

No, you know what you want to happen.

If it happens when the woman doesn't want it to happen it's rape.

No, what is odd is your victim blaming.

Nice to hear that one can go clubbing in Ubon Ratchathani until 4 a.m., while in other parts of the country (Bangkok, Pattaya, etc.) lights go out at 1 a.m. or so...

yeah!

Cameroon has both French and English as official languages.

Yes, but if you have spent any time there you'll find that English is not widely used outside of the two areas I indicated.  "Both English and French are official languages, although French is by far the most understood language (more than 80%) - Wikipedia"

I am not quite sure what point you are trying to make.  English can be used in the Western parts (used to be the British Cameroons) and you can get by OK in Douala (Nigeria adjacent).  Much more difficult in the capital Yaounde.

I recognise you rushing to the defense of all blacks in TV news, although you are also strongly advocating for the victim here - kudos.

My point I was trying to make (which I admittedly made poorly), was that it is unlikely that either of these two "gents" are accredited English teachers (particularly when you bear in mind the original story where they supposedly purported to be"football agents") and that few Thais school administrators I have come across are in a solid position to judge the quality of these "teachers"" English abilities.

I have spent considerable time in Douala, Yaounde and travelling the country.

I lived in Ghana for two years as a vso worker and met a few Cameroonians while there who spoke English as well as the Ghanaians I worked with.

The point I was making is Cameroon isn't entirely Francophone . English is also spoken in the anglophone areas.

As to them being able to teach english as a second language, well that would depend on the individual I guess...

Actually, a couple of months back that happened to me (non performer), I just had hotel security escort her from the room.
