Afbeeldingsresultaat voor bangkok 5 star roast chicken

The 5* chickenshop i always visited now is closed but the same grandma opened a chickenshop right next to it with the same logo except the 5 stars...she also doesn't sell the real grilled chickens anymore but has chickensaucage for sale now.

Is this still the same 5* or not??? The logo looks exactly the same but misses the 5 stars.

You post in the general section of the biggest Thailand forum and expect everyone to know where grandma opened a chickenshop?

Can you please explain for the unknowing?

Thanks.

I could bet that this logo belongs to a (nationwide?) franchise system and grandma gave it a boot.

Yes as well all know this logo belongs to 5* chicken which is nationwide.

But without the 5 stars it must be another logo. So my question is did you guys also see the logo without the stars? And if so , is the chicken still the same??

Haa Dow (5 star) is really great chicken but the sellers x 3 by me always shut v.early bar 1 who will not supply full chicken. I like the shop a lot but the franchisees near me seem a bit lazy and lose a lot of business. Even 1 by hospital shuts by 3pm and his trade could be 24 hours. Shocking.

Shocking that he does not want to work 24 hours a day .. hmmmm

I passed the shop again today and now it has a new advertising (huge), all red color and the name is "FIVE STAR CHICKEN" in letters....

I guess grandma has issues with the 5* chicken company and just started her own company now.

I didn't see if she uses the same grill to cook them...but on another market i still saw the original 5* with the chickens turning in the grill.

Such a thing called; staff.

True, there is such a thing called staf but its hard to find good staff and usually you have to supervise staff. You would have to trust the staff with the money and other things without you being there. That requires quite good staff and that is hard to find IMHO.

Not disputing that good staff are hard to find but they could even rent the hours they do not use. Better than just being shut. They are normally right next to a 711 and this one I mention is next to a hospital and a 24/7 - 711. Seems a waste.

Yes, sounds like a waste, I am not sure how much they make on this so I can't say if its profitable to rent out more or to get employees. Maybe they have thought about it maybe not. But near a hospital and 711.. seems that you can be open longer then.

I like these 1 product business's here. Seem easier to manage and succeed. Cha phayom, 5 star plus by me we have a beef shop that do everything with just beef and a Vietnamese shop where all foods are pork based. All seem fairly successful.

I have never seen the books of places like that.. the 5 star chicken.. no idea how much they make as we don't know how much they pay for the chicken. A high number of people might be indication of good, but who is reeking in the profit.. the stall owner or the franchise holder.

I Base it on longevity without access to the books. Cha phayom for example is a major franchise, in maybe 2 years since startup?  and I'm yet to see one shutdown and I have yesterday seen the first one for sale at 150k.  I'm pretty sure the startup cost for the franchise package was circa 15k. Not Inc premises. I think it must be appealing or how else would they last so long.

I have never looked into it so you might be right. 15k for a startup is nothing... 150k is quite expensive (unless on a real good location)

Again I have no idea how much these people make so I can't really say anything. What i said might be totally off.

Well the old lady with her chickens is sold out around 6 pm mostly...and won't grill more chickens.

The other one i saw today had about 30 chickens in the grill i guessed..maybe he grills many batches a day? But a grilled 5* chicken costs 120 baht iirc, so 30*120=3600 revenue...if they make 40-50% profit on that it's still pretty good for a marketvendor i guess..

Sounds industrial I've never seen more than 3-4 whole chickens on the go but I never seen one before midday as I do not fancy chicken for breakfast.

They a large rotary grill and many chickens fit in...

It's a hard job though, very hot from the grill.

The numbers are good if the location is good. These 1 product franchises are good business. If they are lasting 12 months+ in thailand. They are doing good I think. Franchisees are surely making 45k a month net. Pretty good for a small vendor business.

Is it possible that she is just selling Five Star chicken sausage? I have seen some of them that only sell BBQ chicken and others that only sell fried. Some seem to specialize.
