RAM stackers and trade RAM with others?

I have two questions, I recall seeing RAM stackers some years back for desktop PC's. Do these still exist, do they work and can I buy them here? I recall they only operate at the lowest speed of the stick, but hey..it's another GB so why not. RAM so cheap now maybe not worthwhile but this will be for older computers.

 

Anyone have RAM laying around they can't use and might want to trade?
