Chinese tanks arrive ahead of schedule

Featured Replies

It's all about the benefits received! Thailand is not going to war in my lifetime. They have a treaty with the US to protect them.

Just spunking money on military equipment never to be used

in any real war.

Thailand should put the funds to better use. like on its

sick, Old and poor people.  :jap:

Yea, but ya have to admit; it looks cool, and intimidating;-)

Based on recent military history I hope the Chinese have made sure the tanks have a high speed reverse gear in this Thai model.

Meanwhile the infrastructure is just falling down everywhere. 4.9 Billion on another piece of junk Now i know the junta does not care for Thai people Just buying arms seems all they care about. Yeah you are right they look like the american Abrams You can buy better tanks than that Theses Tanks were prob going to be sent to the scrap metal dept and along came Thailand and bought them:clap2:

I saw 5 or 6 of these on highway Monday. They had quite a time squeezing the tank trailers through the toll booths on trailers. Although partly covered by tarps they did not look brand new to me.

No they are second hand

but they include NEW tracking and communications chips so China can always know where they are located and record all communications to/from these tanks.

Hmmm, maybe even a remote shut-down or override capability just in case they're used against Chinese allies.

Thailand uses Chinese internet routers forbidden in other countries due to these hidden microchips...

Are they for WW3 or for the election ?

I believe that for Prayut, there's no difference.

Or maybe just adding the Thai flag. Same-same.

".....early arrival would allow the Thai Army to utilise the vehicles faster than expected."

Does the army know of something in the immediate future to defend the flag against some foreign overland invasion? I'm just asking as all Thai neighbours are presently busy with some other, exclusively peaceful, activities. Or is something boiling out of far-away lands we do not know off?

Can you reach i.e. renegades the Middle East or men who went berserk over hair cuts North Korea with those tank guns? Questions, questions, questions ..................

When dealing with China you get what you pay for. If you a low price you get a poor product so lets see how long they last.

Maybe they expedited the deal with a bulk load of latex pillows and durian chips.

well then, I hope they been refurbished. Factory reconditioned.

Their delivery is about six months ahead of the scheduled period of March next year because of business competition.

Omit the repairs, renovations and upgrades - deliver 6 months early at the same price.

Very scrupulous the Chinese.

That same headline posted at TaiwanVisa.com would have caused quite a stir

28 tanks is somebody expacting a party on the street soon or later

Thank God they're here it  will help them patrol the beaches!

I've watched the video and it makes one valid and believable point - that this is not a battle fit tank but a mock up to con susceptible buyers. The commentator's voice points out that this tank is garbage, but the point is ruined by the length of the video, almost 11 minutes with about 30 seconds to make his point. His favourite word is garbage, and most of the video is repetitive garbage. Pay to view more of these videos, they must be joking!

Gotta keep those pesky red shirts at bay!

and who are they going to attack sooner than expected?

All well and good this speculation about the reliability and timing of the delivery but will they fit down Rajdamri?

There's  money for military hardware of questionable usefulness, but none to replace the fleet of decrepit buses in Bangkok.

buses aren't as good as tanks at driving over people

these tanks have been tested

More important to buy tanks than buses Are these the tanks they used to crush the rebellion in China what was  the name of that square? Geez that was ages ago are these tanks that old?

image.jpeg.602cc208fc01fac6a62a6e632900654c.jpeg are these the ones?

do they come with drivers or are they recruited from the tuk tuk driver farm ?

Bad purchase history will be repeating itself? :whistling: More than likely!

The army may as well park them on their useless aircraft carrier sail it around to let their neighbours know "Don't think about attacking us"! Of course they will not attack, they will have all probably died laughing!

Damn, I should be writing for comic strips.
