Police have seized five cars that were allegedly smuggled from Thailand to Myanmar … and straight back into Thailand.

The five second-hand Japanese cars appear to have been sent from Thailand into Myanmar and then sent back via the border into Mae Sot district in Tak on Thursday night just so that they could be given new vehicle registrations, according to a police source on Friday.

The vehicles were towed to Mae Sot Police Station, where they are being detained pending further inquiries.

Negative. That's the real McCoy. Notice rides got no plates. ^^ is correct. Rides aren't Japanese.

No, no! That´s not the real reason. It was japanese cars maufacured in Thailand, and the quality was so bad so even Mayanmar returned it.

Please do not say that as it will upset the bib who as yet do not know how to tell the difference.

In this case, "Second-hand Japanese cars" means 2nd hand cars imported from Japan, not necessarily Japanese made cars.

You know, the scary part is you might be right! I wouldn't be surprised that some policemen couldn't tell the difference. I witnessed myself when an immigration officer didn't know the countries!

The OP said Japanese.  Someone spotted German and American

Someone else said they both could have come from Japan and another said they are nothing to do with the post.  And you say it seems to be Lie-land!!  Isn't Leyland an obsolete British brand?   Because you couldn't be suggesting........   No! !!
