Roads to be closed on Saturday night for rehearsal of royal procession

 

 

Many roads in Bangkok will be closed from 10 pm on Saturday into early Sunday for the rehearsal of a procession for the royal cremation and a convoy for VIPs, Pol Maj Gen Jirapat Phumichit, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said.

 

To be closed from 10 pm are the road around Sanam Luang, the road from Rattanakosin Island to Phra Ratchawang police station, Assadang road from Phan Phiphop to Phra Phiphit intersections, and along Rachinee road to under Somdet Phra Pinklao bridge.

 

Phra Arthit road will be opened for one-way traffic from under Somdet Phra Pinklao bridge to Bang Lamphu intersection.
