Decent Manufacturers

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Sorry if this question has been asked, and I'm sure it has, but what are some good suppliers of monitors in Bangkok? I'm moving to Bangkok in January and it seems like I was very wrong when I assumed that electronics would be a lot cheaper! I've looked at Lazada and even AliExpress for Ultrawide monitors but it seems like most brands (including Asian brands) are cheaper in the UK? I am not going to be doing freight or air shipping but I can get flight cases for check-in bags if it would be cheaper to get the equipment in the UK.

I guess my main mistake was thinking that Asian manufacturers are cheaper in Asia :S

Indeed such stuff is not particularly cheap in Thailand.

I assume there are two main reasons:

1) The quantities shipped/traded for Thailand are relatively small. That will not result in good prices from the Chinese factories.

2) Thailand is still a protectionist country with high tariffs and complicated bureaucracy.

You can get an AOC 4k 28" monitor from Lazada for under 13k. Seems cheap enough to me.
