rosst
Who knows what leads a mother to do this? Obviously trying to ensure the welfare of the child and unable for whatever reason to do it legally, I have great pity for her.
sanemax
Well done to the Mother for having the sense to leave the baby at a hospital, rather than in a rubbish dump . I hope you are your baby are reunited soon .

trihent
Postpartum depression is a likely cause. Its very common but causes new mothers (esp 1st time) to sometimes act very irrationally. Rubbish bin and successful and attempted infanticide are extreme cases. Its a health care problem that has been largely over looked because of women's perceived social status and needs to addressed by the medical / physiological communities in much greater detail then it is currently. Be glad for the child and push for changes to help end the problem.
Rhys
Mixed blessing... what were the circumstances? The mother had the good sense to do the best for the child with a better outcome and showed a bit of courage... Let them both move on now.
NanLaew
Blessed infant. Unlike the one thrown out of a Pattaya condo window and the one that bounced out of the back of a pickup in Bangkok. We'll name him/her "Lucky"
Stargeezr
Better the baby ended p at a hospitalthan to be thrown from some balcony as well. Could be a single mother who just did not want to keep this unwanted baby, I know a few of them from my visits to the country over the years, Geezer
