Surat Thani residents plan to tie together 20-baht banknotes to make the longest banknotes streamer to be donated to rocker Toon Bodyslam when he arrives in Muang district next week.

 

Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai, whose 2,191-km charity run is entering the 11th day today (Nov 11). He ran more than 400km so far and earned over 153 million baht donation.

 

He is scheduled to arrive Surat Thani’s Muang district on Nov 15.

I was wondering how you sell it to volunteers.... you know, standing around the water cooler... chatting about weekend options.... c’mon, let’s go down to Surat Thani and join twenty baht notes together for the weekend... yay!

I went to a high up monks funeral and people there made  several long trains of banknotes stapled together and not just 20 Baht notes..Monks are obsessed with money and showing money. BUT this is different and the reason for the run is about raising  money for a good cause and not somebodies drinking fund  ( like the monks )
