Am in Cyprus at the moment, the weather is still 24 daytime and 14 at night and almost always sunny. Eating out is reasonable value here but supermarkets expensive (even Lidl) Strangely enough every bar surrounding where i am staying is a girle bar. No local girls though, Ukranian, Russian, a few Romania, Serbia. Downside small beer Euro 5, cheapest lady drink Euro 10

My old man retired in Cyprus. He liked it, but I think it sucks ( not in a good way ).

When I first went the girls were all Phillipinas, and I met the girl that if things had worked out would be the Mrs, but that's life.

Went back for another visit and they were all eastern European. Was not interested at all. Kept wishing I'd gone to Thailand instead.

That is because Western Europe still has a large population of elderlies, that is, Christian elderlies.

 

But when it comes to the young generations, the picture is very different...with good reason, considering that African and Middle Eastern immigrants have had 5, 6, or more, children for decades, while the locals were only having 1 or 2.

 

Finally, young muslims being much more politically active than old christians, their presence is felt way beyond what their numbers would suggest.

 

One can't deny that mosques are built at a furious pace while churches are closed, or even destroyed, no matter what the stats say.

 If Christianity has declined, logic tells me that at some stage the Muslim religion will decline as well.

Science should have kicked all religions into touch by now. They should be as much in the past as witches and Greek Gods. It is the indoctrination of children that keeps all these religions active.

Here in my home country now for a visit. 
It's cold. 

Everybody follows the rules.

The price marked on things is not the price you pay.

Women are mostly overweight.

You are expected to tip 15-20% if you eat out.  (plus tax) 

Have to pump your own gas (did I mention the cold temps)

Fun seeing my friends.  But they seem to know nothing about the rest of the world.  Their geography is so bad, I had my sister in law ask me if I drive to get to Thailand.

You are right.  Atheists need to take up beheadings also if we are going to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time.  From what I can gather it's not all that gory to cut of the head of a believer.  There's no blood.  Just some cobwebs and a few marbles and loose stones.

I lke multi cultural london, i think has improved a lot now compared to when i was a child growing up there. I can get any Nationality food i like, i can enjoy a singalong in a Karaoke bar with the Flips, i can get served in coffee shops by efficient Easter European waitresses, i can go to Singles Evenings and choose Asian, South American, eastern European over the local ladies etc, etc

This appears to a majority of Brits forum so excuse an antipodian. When I retired 5 odd years ago the idea was to spend 6 months in Thailand and 6 months tripping around the home country in a caravan, which is a great life particularly in the north where it is as warm as here. But the north is expensive, up to 750 baht per night for a caravan site verses 10-15000 baht per month for a unit. plus the lack of female women (most try to be like men) but the real reason I stay long term is the lack of regulation/PC. I could go back but it would be to benefit the girl who could work for decent money, not me. How we would pay the rent is unknown.
