Info: new Firefox breaks old add-ons

Featured Replies

Many use Firefox because they like the particular add-ons. If this is not you, then you won't be negatively affected by the latest release, Firefox 57, "Quantum." Do expect some interface changes, however.

In case you didn't know, the new release will be the fastest ever but will break countless old add-ons. :crying: Some have been updated but may not work exactly the same as they did. There is an add-on to tell you which add-ons are "legacy" and therefore unuseable.

You may wish to try the portable version first before you update your installed version to Firefox 57. https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable. Just copy your old profile into the portable's profile directory. See if you can live w/ the result.
