Tall buildings with access to the roof, to take pictures from

Featured Replies

I want to take pictures from high roofs.  What are tall buildings where I can get to the roof? Just directly on the roof, or if there's a restaurant or coffee shop or swimming pool there and as long as they aren't too expensive -- this will do too.

siam@siam, the base, centric sea -- may I get to the roof in these buildings?

If you can't find a tall building then you might go up to Buddha hill where you can get some pretty good pics of both Pattaya and Jomtien.

My partner and I have been to the highest floor at Siam@Siam and there wasn't any charge.   Ditto for Hilton's high floor public spaces.   If you tell the staff at Centric and The Base, or other condos,  that you are a photographer they might let you up the sky pools/sky lounges.  Centric's location and height--floor 45--gives you great photographic opportunities looking in all directions on a clear day.

Unixx condo in south Pattaya has 2 sky gardens on high floors looking in 2 different directions so that might be a possibility in that area.  Baan Plai Haad in Wongamat has a top floor sky pool and in south Jomtien Lumpini Park Beach has a beachfront sky lounge on floor 29 in Building A offering good views looking west, south, and north and also some to the east looking back from either side.

Unfortunately the ballon is not in operation above the Royal Garden anymore.  I would like to go see some of the naval ships before they depart though.  Perhaps I'll head over to Central Festival.

How to get there? Free entry for those who aren't staying in the hotel?

Nice photos - you are so high up you can see the curvature of the earth on some of them......

Also reminds me that that was a long running discussion about Tuk Kom being demolished
and a major shopping plaza going there or maybe I dreamt all that ?

Probably more a case of Lens distortion.

Tukcom still seems to be thriving..the old "bo bay" market next door to Friendship has been demolished and a new hotel is under construction.P_20171011_121022.resized.jpg.c269dd56354f556fde97960997121f0e.jpg
