Twiglets in Pattaya

Featured Replies

Twiglets can be bought at the O' Gara's Irish bar in the Tara court hotel on Pratumnak Hill, 40 baht for a small packet

Also at Siamburys on Soi Khatalo

Crunchy Marmite, eh?

You love them or hate them. An old English Christmas favourite, likewise Cheese Balls and Terry's Chocolate Oranges.

No. Marmite is what you would eat to get rid of the taste of twiglets from your mouth.

I want to try them. Not scary like balut. I grew up with a chocolate covered orange candy thing in tiny bars. I forget the name. No tapping or whacking though. What a gimmick!

No, certainly not as weird as balut. But definitely a very British flavour.

Back in the 60s/70s Twiglets were de rigueur party snacks. To me they conjure up an era of prawn cocktails, avocado bathroom suites and Hostess trolleys. Though interestingly I see they were actually invented several decades before that.
