Using Ebay for a software purchase...........

Recommended Posts

I've just done my fist shopping via Ebay and must say that it works fantastic with PayPal.

I'm new to both institutions and just wanted to give it a try when I had bigger problems with MS office 2016, when an activation wasn't possible. I know now that I had too many installations of it on my PC, that had caused the problem and MS switched my program off.

Considering that I have to rely on this program, I gave it a try and it was a piece of cake. You'll find a lot of good offers, mine was only 10 Euros and the whole process was fast and without problems.

It took only 20 minutes to receive an e-mail thru Ebay, when I received the code. Then I had to delete all installations and download a new setup from Microsoft. The Validation was fine and the installation without problems.

I guess you've got to look at the seller's reputation and if/when they'd sold hundreds of the same product and no unsatisfied customers, what should go wrong? No hassle to find a computer shop, and the whole process can be done behind the keyboard in a short period of time.

For those who're using Ebay and PayPal over a longer time, please share your experience what could go wrong? Thanks a lot.

Been there and been burned. All went fine until I reinstalled Windows and tried to reinstall Office and found the key was blocked. I'm guessing that the seller sold the same one multiple times.

Even being a newbie, I've made some research and I think once the seller has got a perfect history, you're good to go and buy it.

I've seen another offer from the same seller a few minutes ago offering W 10 Pro + MS Office 2016 for 324 baht. If a seller isn't checked, without a good reputation, I just don't buy there.

I'm far from a newbie - this seller had good ratings.

They know exactly what they're doing - sell the same key just as many times as they think they can get away with it before it gets blocked.  Most people will only install one time.  I only found out when I tried to re-install several weeks later.

You may be fine and I hope you are. I'm just saying be aware......
