Unidentified body found on Songkhla's beach may be murder victim

The body of an an unidentified man that washed up on a beach in Songkhla late on Monday night may be a murder victim, police say.

The body was found in a bag on Ban Tha Yang Beach in Moo 3 village in Tambon Na Thab in Songkhla's Chana district.

 

The man appeared to be 35 to 40 years old and was wearing only boxer shorts.

 

His face had been beaten by a hard object and there were several wounds over other parts of his body, police say.

 

Police suspect the man was a migrant fishing crew member and was dumped into the sea after being murdered.

One thing is for sure. A Thai isn't going to go down for it. 

What was their first clue it might be murder?  The 12" knife protruding from his back?

It may have been the fact that he was in a sack (bag) that alerted their attention that "Something might be amiss here"...................

No it is an obvious suicide dressed as a murder,i can see inspector Somchai now "hah,the old crawl into a bag and tie it up from the outside trick,eh lads"

Sounds like they may have gotten this right, unlikely suicide candidate.
