Just a quickie . Curious about family visits. I am married to my wife , who else would i be married too, sorry for the oxymoron. Anyways, married by Thai law... does Johnny , Slobstone and thier army of minions at the Bkk embassy recognise me as my wife's spouse by Aussie law? I need to return home really soon and my mob back home would love to meet my daughter and wife . Any amount for the bond of returning home is not a problem .

Thanks for your advice :o

As long as you were legally married at an Amphur office Australia recognises your marriage. The temple type wedding has no validity in Australia or in Thailand.

Thanks for the help Doc :o Yes, married at an Amphur office. I think my main question is, what are the chances of getting a family sponsor visa for a wife/daughter in a short time visit to Australia . Is it a matter of just putting up as much bond as they command or as stringent as a marriage or normal visit visa ?
