Bootmaker in Chiang Mai ?

A friend of mine (male) is coming over in January, and wants to get a pair of custom made boots: afaik, he does not want them made with exotic materials like ray-skin, etc. He'll be here a few weeks, so manufacturing time should not be an issue.

 

I ain't never paid no mind to leather/shoe shops as I careen around our beloved Lanna's nest of follies: I do remember Bangkok being full of them.

 

Any ideas ?

I know of 2 leather goods makers.  Both make shoes and boots.

 

On the same street as Helmets to Home/ Gecko Garden and Pantip Plaza. 

 

One is next to H2H and the other is on the other side of the road and a bit back towards the moat.

 

I've never had any shoes made there but did get a leather pouch made for my Gerber multitool at the one closest the moat.

 

Nice people who don't rip you off.
