Where Can Have My Portable Hard Driver Fixed?

Recommended Posts

hard disks cannot be repaired. They are replaced and depending on problem are or are not under warantee.

It means you loose your data....

If drive runs and data may still be there data can be recovered but essentially foreget any standard computershop as they havent got the time and/or knowledge.

send an email to [email protected] to see if he can help. Note if drive is dead it has to be recovered if possible by discrecovery in Singapore and that can be very very expensive.

too bad if it can't be fixed :-(

tried various methods regarding to windows troubleshoot, none solves the problem.

once i plug the HD on, the light blinks for 2-3 seconds, then turns to green. it always appears the device's working properly, however, when i try to read HD, it shows: "G:\ is not accessible. the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable".

i thought it might be just some connection problem from the port on the HD, or maybe worse???

Hard drives are certainly can be repaired - we are doing it in Phuket for a quite a few years now. And prices for most cases are affordable.

Large data recovery companies have to buy very expensive equipment (hundreds of thousands $$$) and they have to cover the costs; yet they use this equipment only in maybe 25% of data recovery cases. The rest can be dealt with using much less (several thousand US$) expensive hardware and specialized software. Data recovery is actually more about "know how" as most of the knowledge needed is not available to the public.
