BANGKOK — A well-known Redshirt activist says four plainclothes police officers came to his home Tuesday to tell him not to distribute 2018 calendars featuring Thaksin Shinawatra and Yingluck Shinawatra.

Anurak Jeantawanich, aka Ford Red Path, said “friendly” police gave the instruction to him at his home in Samut Prakan province after he announced on Facebook that anyone who wanted one of the commemorative calendars could pick one up from him. He said he would lie low after being given the instruction.

The junta could only gain credibility if they were not so afraid of him.  Instead they crack down.  The junta just cannot deal with any debate, scrutiny or an opposing point of view.

Well, now the people of Samut Prakan can identify four of the secret policemen!

Surprised no-one put a boot in the secret policemans' ball.

With the ban in place, the value must be increasing by the day. Thailand's bitcoin!

They are giving them away because no one will buy them...

There's the inevitable cover-all clause: "'to tell him not to distribute 2018 calendars", so they are stuck with them.

So when he can not sell them or give them away and has no where to store them a paparazzi photographs him burning them... :cheesy:

The same though occurred to me too.

I'd imagine is would cause our beloved leader some embarrassment, but knowing S44-man, he will probably turn back time and impound the calendars.

How insecure do you need to be to be scared of a calendar?

Also you could say freedom is just  a dirty word in Thailand.

I was thinking all news papers told (or face S44 sanctions) to run a story, Redshirt leader falls out with the Shinawatra's the clan (must not use the S word).

Red shirt liars...just last week they denied having printed or plan to have them printed...

Have you any idea just how silly posting (effectively) in support of undercover policemen going around warning people about distributing free calenders makes you look?

Almost as silly as undercover policemen allowing their mugshots to be put on facebook!

Probably better to just leave them on the porch (or somewhere else that it easily accessible to the general public) and forget abut them.

Hopefully word won't get around.

And nobody will come and steal them.
