Going on a Saturday to Chiang Saen via Chiang Rai.   Besides going to the white temple, are there any other must do's that don't take up a great deal of time?

 

Also any decent restaurants and coffee shops along the route would be highly appreciated.

Famous pie shop, Charin?, on hiway 108, worth a stop.  U can also find their  pies in NimmanHaeman area.

Their pies and cakes are very good, but I dont rate their other

food offerings, Chiang Rai does not have anywhere near a

 variety and quality eateries of Chiang Mai,we are

really spoilt for choice here.
