SidJames
Big day is the 19th as far as I know. I hope so because I plan to be away & want to book my flight back for the 20th. Maybe our resident songkran expert can confirm?

alant
Songkran is alway 13/14/15 April This year there are additional holidays of 16 and 17 in lieu of Saturday Sunday.
Peterw42
As others have said 13th- 15th, 13th is Thai new year every year, but dependent on where you are the festivities can be any-time between 11th through to 20th. The big water-fight day is on different days in different locations, Bkk I think its the 15th, Bangsaen 16th, Pattaya its the 19th, futher south from pattaya its the 20th. kingstonkid
The country will probably be in Songkran mode around 12 so that people can get home for holidays. It is usually around a week so would say that government will likely shut things down on 12 and reopen on 18-19 But official days are 13 to
