New taxis have come in to greet the new year. And they have some great features sure to wow the public.

Top of the list is the SOS panic button - it's connected to the Department of Land Transport HQ and can be activated anywhere.

Among the other features of the Taxi OK and Taxi VIP cabs are GPS tracking, dash cams and internal cameras.

There are also added features to identify the driver.

The taxis can be recognized by their warm and welcoming green availability light, reported Sanook saying that the Thai public are welcoming the new addition to safety in Thailand.

Uber is turd-tier taxi service. They kill local taxi firms and have lower standards.

Rubbish!!!!!! I use it all the time and have found the drivers because they own their car tend to take exceptional care of it . eg: had one driver want to pack all our suitcases in lest we accidently scratch his pride and joy . Cheaper , cleaner and safer far better choice than rickorty old taxis that reek of stale smoke , and have ball joint rattle and some crook driver that always tries to rip you off  , Ha no wonder uber kills local taxi firms and its about time!
