Popular Post music065
Getting tired of the short term things. Would really like to find something more permanent. How did you find your long term gf/wife? 2
Popular Post OneMoreFarang
I saw her short time and I liked it and then I saw her more often and finally she moved in with me and we stayed happily together for many years. I guess one important factor was that she was flexible enough to leave her "previous life" to stay with me. I took care of her and we never had a "you pay amount x agreement". So I was pretty sure she stayed with me because she wanted to stay with me and not because of financial reasons. If you get tired with short term things then maybe you chose them according to short term criteria. Maybe change your criteria and maybe you will find something for a little longer...

Popular Post csabo
She picked me off of Thai Friendly. She said she liked my eyes. I have logged into her account with her. She would get hundreds of messages a day but much preferred to pick her own guy rather than be picked. The first time she messaged me I was having car trouble and was focused on it so did not reply immediately. She sent another message telling me to hurry up or she was moving on. I laughed but then did Skype her later that day. That was four years ago, we've been together ever since. Best woman I've ever know. If she walked out on me today I would thank her profusely for our time together.

Popular Post richard_smith237
IMO the golden rule is to follow the same instincts you would in your home country. It is likely / possible that there is financial disparity between yourself and many of the potential partners you would meet. Finding someone who is financially independent would remove many of the obstacles many foreigners in Thailand face when dating a Thai lady. Another golden droplet of common sense: Don't get into a long term relationship which started with a financial transaction !... and try and avoid the 'occupational Farang hunters'. In the past I have found the best way to meet Thai Women I ended up dating was through the introduction of Thai friends. MadMuhammad
I met mine in Oz studying her masters degree at uni. She’s probably the most balanced, worldly Thai girl I’ve met. Very lucky to find her. None of the major issues I’ve found in local Thai girls. obviously of no help to your situation directly but maybe spread your net a bit wider and you may catch the right fish

Colabamumbai
It took me 7 years and a marriage and divorce, met close to 100 women. I met her on a website, then in person, I knew after our first meeting she was a keeper. She also told me no sex on our first date. It has been 2 years now and we will marry soon. She was a factory worker and I was a teacher for 7 years and retired at 65. I was concerned due to a large age difference, but have no regrets.

jamesmacleod
Many Ferang meet ladies in Bars etc, it's not my cup of tea to purchase a lady, but sometimes (like 1 in 100 relationships or something silly) it works out really well! Many Thai ladies go to Ferang pubs and clubs looking to meet mr right the Ferang, it is another possible avenue of exploration, although you'll have to get the lady to leave the nightlife (this can lead to marriage in like 1 in 50 times or something similar) ! Quite a few Thai ladies who are married or with Ferangs offer out friends and relatives (this can work out like 1 in 25 times or something similar) about 250,000 ladies go online and use sites like Thai friendly and Thai cupid to meet ferangs (and this can work out about 1 in 12 times for marriage or long term relationships) All estimates of success above are completely made up, I have no idea what the true figures are, it's any ones guess! Popular Post chrisinth
OP, you will know when it happens, in the case of a long term relationship it is the same here as it is anywhere. If the chemistry isn't right between you, it won't last. If you try to force it you will be living the lie, probably in misery. In 1989, I was beaten in the final of a pool competition by this (in my eyes anyway) stunning Thai girl. (She was one of the managers of the Anzac hotel then). We both sat for the rest of the night drinking the bottle (of whatever) she won for the pool. Had a great night, no sex but hit it off well. Kept in touch but each went our own separate ways for the next 8 years and met up again in 1997 and started where we had left off. Without going into reasons, this girl probably saved my life at the time. In fact thinking about it, no doubt! Have been together since, married for 18 of those years and lovin' it. We actually like each other...............
