Muslim woman killed in Narathiwat drive-by shooting

By The Nation

A Muslim woman working on a government project was shot dead in Narathiwat on Friday morning by suspected insurgents of her own faith.

A gunman riding pillion on a motorcycle shot Aminoh Yusoh, 51, twice as she was driving her own motorcycle along Rusoh-Yingor Road in the village of Ban Apa, on her way to work on a government project in Rangae district.

Witnesses said she was able to travel another 100 metres more falling dead from the bike.

Aminoh’s husband suffered the same fate in 2015. He was assistant headman in Ban Thai Suk in the same district.

I despise Islam as much as the next man, but there is nothing to suggest that this was a Muslim on Muslim attack. But you might be right.

Certainly fits the profile.  Muslim working on a government project,  husband previously murdered.  Doubt if it was Buddhist drive by.

May have been in June 2016?
"A village chief and his assistant have been killed in Thailand’s Muslim south in an attack by suspected insurgents in troubled Narathiwat province.... Anuwa Sulong, the chief of Bango Dudong village, and his assistant were shot dead while inspecting a well alongside local military officials"

Then there's a later attack in July 2016?

"Two men who used to work with the police were killed in a bomb explosion and gunfires by suspected militants in Yala’s Bannang Sata district Sunday morning.... The two victims were identified as Mahama Yuding and Assuwan Yusoh who used to work for the late Pol Col Sompien Aeksomya, alias Ja Pien, former superintendent of Bannang Sata district police http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/two-men-killed-suspected-militants-yala/

Or a mix of the two attacks?
