Lots of negativity amongst posters.  On the bright side, Warren Buffet lost $5B in the market meltdown Monday, so we are all catching up to him in relative wealth terms!

Guys like Buffett, Gates, Bezos, et al, can lose more in one bad day than most of us (read 99% of the people on the planet) will see in our lifetimes.  But worry not, you won't be seeing any of them at a soup kitchen anytime soon.  Regardless, money is only something you need in case you don't die tomorrow.

If the market keeps dropping by a thousand points, we may soon see this guy sipping Chang in front of the convenience stores with the Russians.

55555...yeah right.  Guys like Bezos has more money than he can spend in a dozen lifetimes.  So if he loses 90% of his wealth, he'll only have more money than he can spend in a couple of lifetimes.

Indeed, a bit like that old Bill Gates joke,

4. It's Literally Not Worth His Time to Pick Up a Dropped $100 Bill From the Ground

With a worth of $72 billion, a 6% rate of return would earn Gates roughly $114.16 per second he is alive, making it a poor investment for Bill Gates to bother picking up a $100 bill if he dropped it.

well he will now that to pick up the $100 bill will not make him lose  $114.16 if he picked it up he would still make $ 114,16 and then make a extra $100,- . I guess that is why he have more than most of us.
