Back in the mid 90s every gogo was playing their horrible caterwauling, and it was necessary to use earplugs. I was sooooo happy when they sacked their manager and vanished overnight. A world without the Spice Girls is a happy world.

The Beatles were considered a pop music band, then they developed into something much more. Pop music is exactly what the name suggests, popular music, good and bad. Perhaps do a bit of research before making silly statements.

Everyone loved pop music back in the 60s. It was just the audio version of milkshake, enjoyable and soon forgotten. The Beatles played pop music and they are supposed to be a great group. Back when 45s were cheap, few took music seriously. It was just background noise. I think folk was great before Blues was.
