BANGKOK, 15th February 2018 (NNT) – The Prime Minister has encouraged all agencies to adhere to the nation’s development strategy and drive its reform plan to build confidence and satisfaction among the public.

Chairing the first National Strategy Commission meeting of the year, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha remarked that measures and mechanisms must be decided on, to achieve integration and continuity in the push to achieve sustainable development in the country’s governance and spending.

He underlined the necessity to develop plans to respond to the needs of citizens and the nation’s potential and that stable administration must be achieved within 20 years as planned.

The PM explained that his government’s stable, prosperous and sustainable vision should serve as a compass for the nation’s progress, much as His Majesty the late King’s teachings have served as a strategy for development.

He made known that His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has ordered such aspirations be maintained and that goals be met with sustainability. The Prime Minister remarked that while there was little activity towards reaching such goals prior to his administration, its deliberations and initiatives have been based on facts and reasons.

He said that in the past most government offices based their spending on their missions and functions but from now on they would seek to integrate their work and act in a more multi-dimensional capacity.

Gen Prayut reiterated that his government’s intention is to bring the greatest possible benefit to the nation and to earn the trust of its people, saying that the 16 key issues outlined in its strategy have been expanded to 21 alongside another 18 issues for security.

Mentioning the five year plan for economic and social development and the four stratagems being observed by his administration, the PM asserted it is crucial that all related bodies remain mindful of the country’s reform master plan to ensure its successes are as intended.

It is probably classified except for a few who are close to the PM himself. Steven may well be one of those and privy to the contents of this arcane document. I realise it is an unhelpful suggestion but if you ask him nicely he may be inclined to give up some of the secrets it holds.

Nah don't think he would be able to tell us too much in the way of secrets but I bet he might treat us to another picture of his favourite little man in a all his martial splendour with his many hard earned medals......

I don't believe it, unless the master plan is subject to a new poem or mor lam song explaining it. I hope uncle Too is not becoming sloppy developing his entertaining artistry.

The entire dialogue was based on his proposal to trust him and his government. And we all know how hard they had worked to earn that trust. Prudent spending on military toys, adherence to policies on declaring expensive wrist watches, who can speak on political issues in what size group....the list goes on. Yep...trustworthy, that's the word that should be be their mantra.

Yes, these hi-so (really gutter-low) types are totally delusional. They live in a fantasy world where Thailand has an unblemished, pure image in the eyes of the global populace and where the 'good people' who stage coups know what is best for each and every Thai - especially those downtrodden multitudes who are toiling away and putting food on the hi-sos' tables.

So - genuine reality does not enter into it. The Thai ruling class are the deluded creators of their own illusory reality. And the rest of us - Thais as well as foreigners - have to suffer from these lunatics' megalomaniacal visions of their own greatness.

'Mr Prayuth' and 'reforms', in one sentence, I can't have it anymore, a waste of time to read any further! He had all the chances, even extended powers, for four years already and did little or nothing that matters. A bit like so many Thais not having access to other TV channels simply switching the tele off on Friday evening...

Hey, let's have EGAT check how much the power consumption is down in Thailand while 'he''s on the screen...

Dialogue? Look again. He is doing all the talking. Then look at the source - The 'National News Bureau of Thailand'. This isn't a news story, this is a junta press release.

Check out their link: http://thainews.prd.go.th Some really hard-hitting news and commentary there, eh?
