Look at the size of it! Video shows HUGE snake captured in Nakhon Sri Thammarat

This is the moment a snake, thought to be 6 metres in length, was captured at a house in Nakhon Sri Thammarat on Thursday (Feb 15).

Rescue workers were called after the 64 year old owner of the house spotted the head of the snake as they left to go to work in the adjoining rubber plantation.

The home owner didn't realise just how big the snake was as only part of it was initially visible.

When rescue workers arrived it took 7 of them nearly 20 minutes to remove the snake.

The post on Facebook, which has now been shared more than 4,000 times, estimated the snake weighed more than 100kg.

The snake was later released into the wild.

I do hope it survived after the molesting it received !

Snakes are great survivors. I'm sure it will just fine back in its own environment.

Have you ever seen any of the documentaries by Romulus Earl Whitaker, snake expert extraordinaire? When he does a snake removal they often get some pretty rough handling and he knows his stuff all right.

They were actually quite gentle with that Python, so I'm sure that it will be just fine.
