Yes I have seen it. It is a ok movie. Three hours long. To make most out of it; do some studying of thai history in advance.

But keep in mind that this is only one of three movies so dont expect a great ending.

I didn't realise it was a trilogy. 3 hours is a long to wait for a "to be continued" but I did it for "Lord of the Rings" so I might as well check this out too.

I thought that it was really good. Many Thai period/costume pieces are poorly written, and the acting can be downright painful. However this film, the first in a series of three telling the life story of King Naresuan, has great writing, excellent character development and the three child actors are incredible. The actor playing the role of the principal Monk, (can you say Yoda/Obi Wan Kenobi), is good too. Tagline: Star Wars meets The Godfather in old Siam. :o

I think #2 comes out 1 Feb, but am not 100% positive on that, and not sure about the release date on episode 3.

Ep. 2 comes out 15 Feb, Ep. 3 on the King's Birthday, 5 Dec.

hi

anyone know where to get these DVD`s with eng subs? internet?

cheers

So far from everywhere I checked it's only available in Thai, with Thai sub-titles.

It doesn't make sense because the movie played in Thai with English sub-titles. Even online you won't find English subs.

I saw both and they were really great. Been waiting for the 3rd episode to come out. Hopefully it will be this year!
