There was a thread recently asking where he practiced. The thread is closed so I have to start a new one to say he is no longer at Chiang Mai Ram.

He has a clinic 081 882 4085 but I have not been able to get a reply from this number.

Someone may wish to update the thread on the location of specialists are and close this.

Correct spelling of his name is Bannakij and his email is listed here

That email address doesn't work BTW.

Dr. Bannikij has been treating me for about 5 years now. He's one of my favorite doctors. Unfortunately, per my conversation with him last night, he no longer sees patients at Chiang Mai Ram, Sriphat, or at the CMU teaching hospital. He no longer performs any procedures, and as I understood it, only rarely does he perform surgery in select cases. He also no longer takes new patients with complex issues at his private clinic of which now he is very seldom there. He only sees a some long-time patients there for simple things or to follow the progress of patients and/or make referrals to other doctors.

He is very busy with his commitments at the Faculty of Medicine of which he has taken a position as Director of a unit and he travels often.

They have a new urologist at Ram, (can't remember his name) but I was refered to him after being told that Dr. Banmakij was no longer at RAM. Both myself and my friend have seen him for different problems and were not impressed by his manner, but according to my local doctor he is very good, so book, cover and all that, if he does a good job he can be as rude to me as he likes!!

Oh dear. That's a loss. Do you know if there is a particular urologist he now refers people to?

Hi Sheryl, well he did refer me to another Professor of Urological Surgery (another one who is also very difficult to contact, difficult to schedule time with, rarely has clinics, etc.). My wife spoke with his nurse/assistant and said that Dr. Bannakij referred me and she was going to speak with the doctor about when I can get in to see him soon and let us know. I will report back when I have some information.

I know there have been a couple of positive reports on a Urologist at the new Bangkok Hospital. I don't know the doctor's name or anything about him/her.
