Cabinet approves national reform plans

BANGKOK, 14th March 2018 - The weekly Cabinet meeting has resolved to approve national reform plans in 11 areas, to be implemented in tandem with the 20-year National Strategy.

Spokesman of the Prime Minister’s Office Lt. Gen. Sunsern Kaewkumnerd, said on Tuesday that the Cabinet has acknowledged the draft reform plans, which have been written with a focus on key areas such as political transparency and democracy, ethical governmental administration, law updates, technology-driven economic development and elimination of social inequality.

Lt. Gen. Sunsern said that Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha has stressed that all ministries should adopt the suggestions of the National Strategy Committee and apply them to their operations, while taking into consideration the government’s 20-year National Strategy, particularly during the first five years of their project implementation.

In addition, the Cabinet approved the National Health Security budget for the fiscal year 2019, which has just been trimmed down to 183.43 billion baht, and endorsed proposed measures to tackle civil aviation problems as well as to set up a policy committee to ensure all plans are effectively executed.

Sounds more like titles of the shortest books ever written (in Thai).

Looks like China on steroids ... Socialism here we come !

[Has been tried before in the last century ... about 100 Mio people died along the way in the Sowjet Union and China]

Never worked and never will but obviously it's the plan for the whole world thanks to the criminal U.N. !

Make everybody the same poor guy, completely dumbed down by social media and state propaganda, which eliminates social inequality, give all power to the "state" and you have communism pure.

Pure evil in sheep's clothing.

It was easy.

Just ask the Cabinet:

What areas has the government failed and can't reform?

  • political transparency and democracy, ethical governmental administration, law updates, technology-driven economic development and elimination of social inequality.

All done.

How can they make plans for the next 20 years?? Are they blindfolded? With Trumpistan on one side and N-Korea on the other side and the Chinese between you might plan for the next year only. Also I can't see anything to improve daily life for average people concerning e.g.environment/air pollution, pension fund, alternative energy, health care. List is endless

Given Airbus recent agreement to use U Tapao as a maintenance outlet, they would be dumb not to focus on this.

I wonder which ministry faced the biggest cuts to facilitate all these infrastructure dreams?.... possibly Education /Agriculture? Or maybe Military? ((:cheesy:))

As far as planning 5 years or 20 years in advance goes, why don't they take a look at what their neighbours are doing too...
