UK Libraries and Audio Books

This post may be of little interest to anyone but, may be to someone from the UK.

Do you have a valid library card from the UK ?

Did you ever borrow the audio books from the library ?

Did you ever listen to the libraries online audio books, some can even be downloaded, there is a long list.  Covers, I think, all libraries in the UK.

Yes, I know there is a plethora of audio books online from various sites, plays etc on BBCiPlayer, and radio shows galore.

I have listened / downloaded for future listening some excellent stories.

 

This is one that you may like from the BBC.

"Welcome To Our Village, Please Invade Carefully", it even has a talking printer in the story !

Great tip! Unfortunately I get the following message when I try using the BBC iPlayer "BC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it’s due to rights issues."

Have you tried using a VPN that shows you are in England.

If you would like to hear the specific radio series "Welcome To Our Village ......" I can try to paste here ?

Thanks. I'm not tech savvy and hadn't thought about VPN (don't have one and am not sure if I really need one or not).
