Video: What's this "water monitor" doing behind the wheel!!??

Dash cam footage uploaded to Facebook showed some crazy driving on Ratchapreuk Road heading outbound from Bangkok earlier this week.

A Mitsubishi car was filmed going the wrong way causing other road users to have to brake and pull over.

The poster - "Benhur Ben" - used a vulgar Thai swear word meaning water monitor about this driver though he spelled it wrong for decorum's sake.

"Met this "ai hia" driving this morning", said Benhur Ben, "Nearly caused my brakes to bust".

If you know the owner of the vehicle - with the Bangkok plate of 5กช (gor chor) 7010 - you might inform them that the pointy bit on an arrow indicates direction.

Oh, and as Manager helpfully reminded us in their report, there is a 500 baht fine under Article 148 of the Highway Code for going the wrong way.

Time to review the amount for the fines.. This is beyond ridiculous..

I've seen this several  times...and motocycles do it every 20 seconds.

But now it's on film, will the police take action on it?

Again and again Thai show they have no skills for driving to easy to get a license

and easier and quicker than having to do a U turn somewhere.

Why do you complain?

At least he used the left lane (from his view) :cheesy::cheesy:

That really brings this case out compared to the "usual" wrong way drivers who creep along the shoulder.

A behavior that I experience frequently along major highways (in the sticks).

Seems Ok to me - after all, they had their 4-way flashers on.

Appeared to just have his right indicator on to me......

Wanting to move over to the other side which is more usually used for vehicles going the wrong way on a carriageway.
