Hello everyone
My girlfriend gave birth a few days ago
We were in the hospital and we signed all the forms
They took my passport
And tomorrow I'm going to take the birth certificate
I am now with a tourist visa that I have extended by 30 days
With a birth certificate What do I do? Going to Immigration get 60 days?
I am currently on a tourist visa that runs out and I extend by 30 days
Should I go to Laos again and do a tourist visa?

To be a parental rights  father i do it later becuse i am still marry in my home country

By the way, the name of the child is Israeli with my family name. Does it help in court?

and what Documents i need for Vientiane  Single Non O ???

thanks vary mach

You need to check with your local immigration office to find out if they will do a 60 day extension to visit your child after already getting the 30 day extension. Some will do it and others will not.

To apply for the extension you will need their birth certificate and a copy of their house book registry. They will need to be with you when you apply.

You can apply for a single entry non-o visa based upon being the parent of a Thai that will give you a 90 day entry. No financial proof is needed to get it at Vientiane or Savannakhet Laos.

You could then get a 60 day extension of the 90 day entry from the non-o visa.

Info about legitimizing your parenthood is in this topic. That would allow you to a apply for a one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of Thai. I don't think your child's name will make any difference.

Now you are the parent of a Thai you can easily get a Single Entry Non-immigrant ‘O’ visa from Laos. You don’t need to be the ‘legal parent’. That gives you 90 days which can be extended by 60 days. No need for anymore Tourist visas.

You don’t need to take your child or the mother to Vientiane.

  • Original & copy of birth certificate.
  • Copy of your passport ID page
  • Maybe a copy of the Laos entry stamp. (Can be done at the Embassy).
  • Copies of mother’s ID and house registration book. (Not always required but good to have).

Right, and for purpose of visit, write "visit my child"

The house book registry of the child will certainly be required. The mother's is optional.

No need for a translation at a embassy, consulate or immigration.
