Driving schools permitted to test students. Where in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I have read that some driving schools are permitted to administer the driving test. I know I could just go to the test centre, but I went there with a friend once it took 6 hours on the first day, then he had to go back the next day. I didn't go but it took 3 hours this time.

So, basically I'll pay extra if needed be. Anyone know a school in the Ramkhamheng area? I tried to search on the internet , but I don't read Thai and the places that came up offered driving lessons not testing.

P.S. I have driving licences from three countries- one is expired, one is lost and one is in storage a long way a way.

I did my tests there for motorcycle and all I had to do was take the paper work to DLT and get my licence.

I'm sure they do cars as well.

Driving schools permitted to test students

As I remember the announcement for the new law that allowed for drivers licenses to be issued to anyone who completed a full course of driver training by the Department of Land Transport Office without the test

I never heard of DLT outsourcing the testing system to driving schools

So yes,  driving schools are permitted to test students but only their students enrolled in their driving course
