snoop1130
Prem praises Prayut’s ‘Thainess’ By Jakrawan Salaytoo The Nation Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda has voiced his support for Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to run the country and praised him for preserving “Thainess”. “I’m glad he is our country’s leader and a role model for all Thais for giving importance to Thainess,” Prem said. Prem praised Prayut as the premier led his Cabinet members, commanders-in-chief, the national police chief and other top officials to visit Prem at his Si Sao Thewes residence to mark Songkran, the Thai new year. The group paid respect to Prem in a water ceremony and received his blessing. Prem said he hoped Prayut would succeed in his work and service of his motherland. The veteran political figure asked about Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan who did not attend the ritual. Prayut said his deputy was on leave for heart bypass surgery. Popular Post Eligius
And only a few weeks ago this same Prem was criticising Prayut for rapidly using up any goodwill the Thai people might have felt towards him. Popular Post JOC
'Uncle' Prem is probably the most powerful man in Thailand....and has been so for many years.... He was the PM under military rule for more than 8 years....(1980-1988) He was by many seen as the architect behind the 2006 coup... He is at present time Regent pro tempore (acting king)...since the coronation of Rama X has not taken place... So don't let his frail appearance fool you.....He is calling the shots around here. Yes, a great role model: snarling, grouchy, peevish, lashing out at people who dare to utter even one simple question, using foul language, never using his (non-existent) brain, threatening to execute people, torturing people's ears and minds with drivel called 'songs' - yes, an excellent role model!
