Why should we thank Mr. Trump? The only reason this is happening is that China went in and put pressure. Trump have only created chaos here, and will probably do that in the upcoming meeting too. As he always do, wherever he walk and talk. Trump understands leverage and coercion. His attempts to link outcomes in one area of contention with outcomes in other areas of contention is a principal the Chinese understand very well. The Chinese have rode Kim horse just about as far as they can.

As I said before. The times when USA put pressure on the rest of the world is almost over. Today China is a force that gains more and more power in that area. After that you have the European Union. Both have better capabilities regarding economic situation to use a stronger leverage.
