PHUKET: Police hunted and down and arrested an 18-year-old man on Saturday (April 21) within two hours of him punching, kicking and robbing a Myanmar woman working as a housekeeper at an apartment block in Wichit.

Ms San Thidar New, from Myanmar, was cleaning on the second floor of the Pro Mansion Apartment at about 1pm when Saranyu Sae Jang, 18, from Chiang Mai, appeared and attacked her, explained police.

Saranyu punched in her face several times and robbed her of her gold necklace, her gold bracelet and about B1,000 in cash.

Unlikely any jail time. 2,000 baht fine. Compensation to lady for medical bills and out of pocket expenses. Police like to get this sort of crime off their books as fast as possible with not much paperwork. Given the victim agrees..

Will be one happy chappy when Thailand gets serious and throws the book at these types of cowards, won't hold my breath though :post-4641-1156694572:

Hopefully pointing at a selection of retribution tools and where to use them first.

She got her things back. That´s good. They caught the bad man. That´s good. The only thing left know is that they let her kick him 10 times in the groin. That would be good!

Judging by the semi-smirk on his face, I doubt it.  He looks like he's thinking about how soon he can kick the crap out of her after the camera goes away.

Scum! Desensitized to violence. The future of Thailand, violence, drugs, street racing, beating the sick, old and...

Her belongings, it says so in the very first sentence!

Do you see the guy handcuffed in the background?

We all know that this slimeball will just get a fine, so it is Too Bad that the women

victims cannot be given a police baton to smash the smirk from that guys face.

Let him feel siome pain that he likely has no idea how it feels.

Police will “persuade” the victim not pursue to court! A country and so called law enforcement system that has no respect for justice or human rights . Yes it’s called Thailand !!!!!
