Did I do the right thing?

Featured Replies

I've been visiting Thailand and other SEAsian countries several times a year for nearly 10 years and never run into any bad situations ... until one night just over a week ago. The incident has still left me a bit rattled and wondering 'did I do the right thing?'

My GF (part-time) of six years is living with another BG so the three of us went out to a free concert, but afterward on the way home the other girl started to get abusive. I told my GF to take her home while I went to 7 to get food and drinks. When I arrived back at my room my GF was pinned down on the bed with the other girls knee at her neck, hair being pulled out and being punched in the side of the head. GF was not doing anything to defend herself... it took me a few seconds to take this in... but I firmly but carefully started to get the other girl off my GF.

Of course I was then scratched, kicked, elbowed and punched; my only concerns were being bitten - and most of all not hurting the other girl ... or I'd be the one in deep sh#t next day.

Managed finally to get her out of the room with nobody hurt (apart from my GF) but embarrassingly most other hotel guests were at their doors peeking out.

This is Thailand ... did I do the right thing or should I have minded my own business and stayed out of it?

No way, they were probably working up to a bit a s/m sex and you ruined it for them, also you brought food from 7/11,i was unaware they sold food,i mean looked what happened to that Russian girl after perusing the cold meat section, she slit her own throat.

What was the reason for the assault on your girlfriend?

Hookers get in fights, get drunk, take drugs, best to let them get on with whatever insanity without your 'help'.

You were lucky they both didn't knife you.

There is a reason why that stuff is called ya-ba - crazy medicine...

I think you did the right thing, especially making sure that you are not accused of beating them up.

if you had offered to pay for a 3some, nothing bad would have happened,

but hindsight is always 20:20.

i do wonder what went into you when you went to 7 for feeding tho ?

You call her a GF but she calls you a client. Keep that in mind when you are getting an ass beating and she walks away next time. Should help you sort out these dilemmas in the future.

Never seen a dog win a cat fight.

If you see either of these BGs again, you just plain stupid.

i find people including women are very good at hitting other people when they think they will not get hit back. id of pulled the girl off and told her should she decide to hit me i will hit her back, once she hit you i would give her a little slap just to let her know your not some pussy like the rest of the farangs here. once you slapped her she would of thought twice about hitting you again.

Over songkran,  my wife and the mother in law had a big argument,  the next thing MIL  is chasing the wife up the road with a pestle,  for half a second I wondered if I should  help... But as my wife is a faster runner than her mum,  I  let them get on with it. Later that day when mum had sobered up,  it was if nothing had ever happened.

Did you try that in Thailand? In principle I agree that if she hits you then you can hit her back. But what if she decides that is the perfect moment to go to the police and tell them you hit her? And obviously she will claim you hit her first.

It sounds for me like the perfect opportunity for the girl and the police to make some extra money.

Maybe that is just my imagination but I wouldn't be surprised if it works like that.

Your girlfriend's Tomboy was pissed. And started to smack her around. Give your girlfriend more money and the Tom will  be happy.

Thanks for the replies and advice...

When I say food from 7 just meant chips/crisps and beer nuts ... but yeah I know it was just luck nothing bad happened. GF is actually more the tom; combination of things set the other one off... cop nudging her with car on walk out of concert started it off and crazy meds only added to the fury. Won't see either again... met the new girl of my dreams soi post office yesterday... this one is different to the rest! :shock1:

Cheers

I always call my new best friend of the night, "my part time GF".

If I break the 3 night/day rule, then its "full time".

I'm guessing your a young guy just finding your feet, sort of.  Blimey.

I think you should get away from the bar scene and look for some other friends.

I would venture that OP was pissed up and the incident he narrated was his fantasy.

yes i have, but the secret is to leave your house or apartment for a few days after you've slapped her, the police will come and did come to my property but i was not there to be victimized, if its only a little slap the police will no chase you down like some terrorist just for slapping a tart.

was she the black sheep of the family ? :cheesy:

@Op: BG=Baby Gansta?

Answer to your question. Yes!, you did the right thing. Unless this was some kinda S/M foreplay, even then, anything serious happen to either of the girls, it's on your head.

The OP does say:

So 'finding his feet'.?..probably not!.

My wife loves a bit of nipple pinching and slapping me,not in a vicious way,but i don't particularly like it,unfortunatly doing it back would be playing a very dangerous game for me as both her Brother and uncle are high up in the Police, anyway i don't believe in offering violence to women.

Thought you were going to say the brother and uncle were filming on their iPhones....singing.gif.d37162c0c3ec26a2950e8a096cbf976a.gif

Close door, walk away. None of your business.

She's not your GF. She's just the woman you have sex with.

Later when she isn't there, remove your stuff from room, move to another hotel, find another GF.

And that's the way you would react if you see a person you like is beaten up by someone else?

Before I answer, remember that the GF in question is not a real friend, like one from home would be. She's only there for the money.

When I might end up getting arrested by the cops for trying to "help", I would think very carefully before getting involved, and from the sound of it, was just a cat fight, rather than combat to the death.

Depending on how bad it was, I might call the cops to come and sort it out, and I've done that for a farang I've seen being beaten up on the streets late at night.

IMO, the OP was lucky to not get reported to the cops for "assault", by the girl he pulled off.

This sounds like a dispute by 2 female friends over a different guy, which can't be good for the OP however it ends.
