Pinched Sciatic Nerve — Need Advice Fast

Featured Replies

I pinched the Sciatic Nerve in my left leg late this afternoon. Done it before but not this bad. Left leg is numb and I cry like a little girl when I move. I live in Bang Lamung. Given this is a Spinal issue I want to know which hospital in Pattaya has an MRI or CT Scan and has people who are qualified and that you guys would recommend. I don’t have health insurance but I can afford it. I am 63 yo Aussie. know from a previous MRI. Few years ago that L4 and L5 are compressed. Please reply ASAP. Bangkok Hospital is the only one I know of here

Best I have found here by a country mile.                                                                                                                                     Give this guy a ring, supposed to be best of the beast at these sorts of injuries    1000 an hour    but think he is back in your area this Sat

Numb leg = need to see spinal specialist immediately.  There could be more than just impingement of the sciatic nerve involved.

Bangkok Pattaya Hospital has both MRI and CT. So does Phyathai Sri Racha Hospital. The latter will cost less but is a little farther away.

In either case you will have to see a doctor first. At BPH suggest

He is there today until 2 PM

At Phyathai, call Gavin Waddell for appointment and doctor suggestion:

The best spinal specialists are in Bangkok and it would be worth your going there if you can.  Dr, Wicharn at BNH hospital

He is also at Bangkok Christian hospital, which is less expensive, but only once a week

If you are able to go into Bangkok you can get an MRI done at less cost than at a hospital here in Bang Na

There are other locations in Bkk as well but this one would be enroute coming from Pattaya

I can 2nd Sheryl's recommendation for Dr. Wicharn.  I had a pinched nerve in my right leg, a condition called Maralgia Parestetica. (sp?) I had gone to several Bangkok hospitals but could not get a treatment plan that made sense.

I went to Dr. Wicharn at BNH on Sheryl's recommendation and after a nerve path test, he gave a treatment plan that worked quickly.

He trained in the USA and speaks excellent English which also helps.
