Pneumonia vaccination in Thailand

I am mid-60s now and have had something akin to occupational bronchitis (constricted chest and dry coughing for 3-4 months) from years of Bangkok pollution, so I'm wondering if that makes me more vulnerable to pneumonia? I would think so. In recent years I've had one or two chest/throat infections that others in close contact with me did not get.

 

Anyone know which pneumonia vaccine is best? I assume the one that protects against the most strains is the one to get, but is it available in Thailand?

Just recently went to Oz and had  vaccinations with Pneumovax 23 and Prevenar 13 which was recommended by my Doctor there. Not sure as to availability in Thailand.

Both Pneumovax 23 and Prevenar 13 are available in Thailand.

 

it is recommended to get Prevenar 13 first and then P23 a year later.

 

Recommended for people aged 65 and above and adults with certain rusk factors prior to that.
