I'm married to a Thai girl, do I need a different visa for visit or do I get the normal 30 days? I would like to stay longer than 30 days, so any info would be appreciated thanks.

You don't provide your passport country but you mention 30 day entry so will assume that is visa free entry from one of the 41 countries allowed that. You could obtain a tourist visa to allow up to 60 days and be extended another 30 day at immigration. You could obtain a non immigrant O visa, in either single 90 day or multi 90 day entry type valid up to one year using marriage certificate and copy of wife id card but these (especially multi entry) are not available at all Consulates. Home country is normally the best choice. With family income of 40k baht per month you could obtain extensions of your stay here in one year segments. So it really depends on what fits you circumstances.

Hi thanks for that..

My passport is British, As i'm still in England now, I only have marridge papers will that do for non immigrant O visa, and do you know if the Thai Consulate here deals with multi 90 day entry?

One more thing, Uk settlement visa for my TW, does this take 3 months to process?

I have a story to tell about my time in europe with my TW visa which i will post when I get more time.

Believe you will have no problem getting visa from Hull Consulate. For question about time frame the other visa forum is the place to post that. Good luck.

As you are married to a Thai and still in your country of residence you should be able to apply to any consulate or the Thai embassy for a Non Imm O visa, can also be done through the post

See requirements here RTE London

See also List of Consulates

If you are lucky and need no interview some settlement visas are being processed in Bangkok in just a few days right now. If they choose to interview you it could be several weeks to wait for an appointment.
